Creating Trends

CREATING TRENDS IN THE BALEARICS

Top models took part in a fashion show that launched a new fashion fair dedicated to fashion from the island. Many famous and powerful people came to see what Balearic Trends is all about.

More than 70 exhibitors showcased the finest designs from the Balearics during a special fashion fair with the media having a special preview on 3rd October before it opened to the public on 4th and 5th October.
They were able to take a look at a variety of products ranging from shoes, jewellery, dresses, and accessories with one thing in common – all products come from the islands’ classic brands or new designers.
The exhibition hall was divided into four zones showing four different styles and even four live concerts.
Natural fabrics, very fresh styles, inspired by nature with colours reflecting water and the sky with Mediterranean rhythms in the background was the first theme to be presented on the catwalk by Leisure Sportiness.
The ambience changed and with the chill out melody of Tibetan music, Party Extravaganza introduced night-time elegance mixing luxury and ethnic influences.
Hip-hop and break dance brought in the urban fashion with Club Modernism and City Chic themes making their voices heard. What is going to be fashionable in the city are the contrasts of colours, opposing the grey, we are going to be wearing violets, oranges and greens.
