On 7^th July Palma enjoyed an unforgettable show by one of the most popular singers from Columbia, Juanes. Some chosen fans and guests to the newly open Diamonds disco could join the after-concert private party of the Juanes crew, of course waiting to see the star himself who unfortunately chose to have an early night. However, the party was animated and lasted until the early hours, even without Juanes.

Earlier ss many as 7,000  young fans headed for the Palma bullring to hear Juanes promote his new album La vida es un ratico (Life is a moment), which has already sold more than six million copies.

It is a mix of songs talking about his personal relationships and love as well as social themes.

As well as his new material, the crowd was  treated to some of his well-known earlier works. The stage was set for a great evening when he came out on stage to sing A Dios le pido (God can do it), continuing with hit after hit such as La Camisa Negra (the black shirt) and Volverte a ver (To see you again).

The singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer, Juanes´s music is a mix of rock, Colombian rhythms and rhythms from other countries. He has won many prizes including 12 Latin Grammys and holds the world record for being the top selling Latin rock artist.

The enthusiastic crowd hung on his every word – and every move – thanks to three giant screens put up at the stadium. And he didn´t fail to disappoint.

Juanes is a man used to being on top. He was also the first artist to sing in front of the European Parliament where he obtained a donation of 2.5 million euros for Colombian mine victims.

During his visit to Mallorca, Juanes also took his family for a daytrip around the Palma Aquarium. Juanes, his wife, two little girls and the mother-in-law enjoyed the visit and finding out more about the natural world.
